Funding
R&D Capital Partners provides eligible R&D companies the ability to use their future R&D tax benefit as security to drawdown a loan. Under this initiative, companies eligible for the 43.5% refundable cash refund may receive a prepayment loan of up to 80% of their expected R&D Tax Incentive benefit based on eligible R&D expense incurred.
These loans are particularly helpful to start-ups with no revenue but in need for cashflow who would otherwise be forced to raise capital and dilute equity when their valuation is low.
Two distinct prepayment offerings are available based upon meeting R&D Capitals’ due diligence requirements.
- The first offering allows eligible R&D companies to receive a prepayment against their prior year’s expenses before registering their annual activities and lodging the company’s tax return.
- The second prepayment offering allows eligible R&D companies to draw down up to 80% of its benefit against current year R&D expenditure on a quarterly or half-yearly basis.
This initiative enables R&D start-ups access to additional cash flow when they need it most to support their R&D and commercialisation strategies.
